Goodbye Mikey. :’(The Mariners acquire John Jaso for Josh Lueke and a player to be named later or cash.
The Rays trade from their catching depth to add to their bullpen. This trade will probably mean Robinson Chirinos will share catching duties with Jose Molina. Jaso, meanwhile, will share catching duties in Seattle with Miguel Olivo.
Lueke, who has an infamous past, pitched to a 1-1 record with a 6.06 ERA last year in Seattle. He came to the Mariners in the 2010 Cliff Lee trade.
Best of luck in Seattle, John. It was fun watching you lead off.
